Batman and Robin #1 has it's Final Order Cut-Off this weekend, so I wanted to say a few words about our new series…
It's been a long journey to this comic book, planned for well over a year. It's really exciting to finally share it with you in September. Simone and I love these characters and put that love on the page. Simone is a masterful storyteller who put so much work into these interiors. They are stunning, you have to check it out.
Our goal was to create a fun adventure comic that is a fresh start and accessible for new readers while still honoring the world and current story of Gotham around it, and you can see that in the first issue. People will be surprised in the direction the series goes and it all starts with #1. It's a roller coaster ride with a lot of action, humor and mystery. Full of dangerous villains, some classic and some new, that challenge the dynamic duo in new ways.
But at the end of the day this is a story about a father and son who found themselves again and are due for some bonding. They earned the time together in a fun comic. I hope you go on this adventure with us.
