BATMAN AND ROBIN #2 Hits Stores TODAY!
The debut issue of series villain SHUSH makes this the MUST-READ comic of the week! Plus, the DARK RIDE VOL. 2 trade paperback!
NYCC is this week. One of my favorite cons. And it’s going to be a busy one. I’m leaving super early tomorrow morning and I’ve been even more super screwed on deadlines, so I’ll keep this one fast. Lots of cool art in this week’s newsletter, so on with the show!
We’re putting out issue #2 of BATMAN AND ROBIN in comic book stores today. The response to issue #1 was amazing to see, so I’ll speak for Simone and myself when I say thank you for following this father/son adventure! It only gets wilder going forward. Here’s what to expect from the this issue:
INTRODUCING A NEW VILLAIN: SHUSH! Introducing Shush. Who does she work for? And how have they turned one of Batman's greatest tools against him? Urban Jungle continues as the father and son dynamic duo are on the deadly case! But first, Damian must deal with...his first day of school?!
And here’s superstar artist Simone Di Meo in action with this breathtaking cover:
And here’s a sneak peek Simone’s interior art for the issue—black, white, and red all over!
I’ve shown these off before, but here’s the horde of great variant covers we’ll also have on the stands for issue #1:
Covers by (from left to right, top to bottom): Francesco Mattina, Kael Ngu, Gabrielle Del'Otto, Leirix, Simone Di, Kael Ngu & David Baldeón/Rain Beredo
And while I’ve got you here, Final Order Cut-Off for the following issue will be here before you know it. WHITE RABBIT! ARKHAM TOWER! DAMIAN DOING HOMEWORK! All this and more in the thrilling third issue of BATMAN AND ROBIN:
And now for something completely different. Our second Dark Ride collection, titled “Family Horror,” will be available in comic shops TOMORROW. More thrill rides and scares just in time for Halloween shopping! Here’s the full solicitation copy and cover:

Sam Dante is haunted by a mysterious death at Devil Land, but the bigger threat may be the dark forces that truly control his family’s legacy and theme park empire! The critically acclaimed series from JOSHUA WILLIAMSON (Superman) and ANDREI BRESSAN (Justice League Incarnate) continues in this terrifying journey deeper into The Scariest Place on Earth.

And once you’re all caught up on the Dante family exploits, stick around for arc three this November! It all starts with issue #9, the cover to which you can check out below:
There’s a family theme to these books, and that’s true for all of you loyal fans and readers. I really can’t wait to see some of you this week at New York Comic Con! I posted my full convention schedule on Twitter, but I’ll be making a full post on it tomorrow. Stay tuned!
