This lays the groundwork for Si Spurrier and Mike Deodato, Jr.’s cosmic horror-tinged run that’ll start in the Fall, so don’t miss the Dawn of DC prelude!
Being included among all these key contributors to The Flash, old and new, is a huge honor. And it really was such a pleasure working with Carmine and Ivan again on this. Writing these characters really is like stepping into an old, favorite pair of shoes (yellow ones, obviously).
It was a blast to revisit this world, to be part of a issue with so many legends of The Flash.
And to touch on some pieces of the Flash’s story that I wanted to but missed out on. It’s a short story but one that means a lot to me.
Something that cracks me up is that I wrote over 100 issues of The Flash and now I just keep adding more issues to that total. Also it’s wild that I wrote Flash #1, 700, 750 and 800. Looking forward to Flash #1000!
