DARK CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #6's Final Order Cut-Off is this weekend!
Be sure to pre-order with your comic book store. And some quick updates.
Good morning, everyone!
NYCC was this last weekend, but after the convention was over I actually left for two days for a short trip with my wife to go to a wedding. An Elvis themed wedding. With the tallest Elvis I’ve ever met. (If you’re a Scott Synder fan and/or read his Substack….yes…I sent him the pictures of this Elvis already.)
It was very fun, and a nice break after the con. But that meant when I finally got back to work on Wednesday, I was about a week behind on work. Which is not fun. I hate being behind. I love writing comics and I know that rushing is one of my weaknesses, so I try to avoid it. I always trick myself when I’m at a con or on the road, that I believe I’ll actually get any real writing done. This year I did go back to my room on Thursday night to go over lettering pdfs, write emails (I’m never going to catch up, my inbox is nuts), and write, but it was not even close to a normal work day. I always appreciate seeing my fellow comic creators and readers. That’s the real reason I go. (And all the secret meetings.) But it always kills my schedule for the rest of the month.
Because my work load had finally got into a nice spot for the first time in years…I almost didn’t go to NYCC at all, BUT we were announcing that I’m writing a brand new SUPERMAN series. Which I have more info here:
This is all a somewhat long winded way of me saying…we’ll continue to our normal programming next week. We have a few cool things coming up. The first of the NAILBITER shorts, the Robin #1 script and issues #7-#9 of the Flash Files.
But for now…
DARK CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS #6 has it’s Final Order Cut-Off this Sunday.
We’re in the last parts of this mad race now. #6 is a massive fight issue with a TON of characters fighting for the fate of the Multiverse. The plan from the start was that this was the fight issue and #7 would be the more emotional climax. But as I was writing they both ended up with a lot of action and big emotional beats for the cast. I love what we’ve built with this series and I hope you can see that love in the work. Once we get done with the whole event, I’ll start writing about the process and how we got here in the Subscriber section.
Honestly, you should check #6 out at least for the amazing art by Daniel Sampere and Alejandro Sanchez. We posted a few teaser images earlier this week:
Here is the main cover to #6!
Be sure to pre-order this issue with your comic book store ASAP.
The Final Order Cut-Off for DARK RIDE #2 is this upcoming Monday, but I’ll do a separate post on that soon. DARK RIDE #1 sold out! So be careful you don’t miss out on #2!
That’s it for today! Have a great weekend!
