FLASH FILES 02…and an update before NYCC.

Hello! Hope everyone is doing well and ready for the weekend. Some small updates before we dive into the Flash Files for The Flash #4 to #6

Next week is a very big week! Two big releases and a massive convention!

DARK RIDE #1 comes out. Reminder that the only way to get the exclusive Mike Henderson cover is to subscribe to the SUPER SCARY CLUB.

DARK RIDE #1-Out October 5th. Exclusive variant cover by Mike Henderson and Adam Guzowski.

Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #5 hits stores. We’re deep in the chaos now. The next three issues are a massive race to the finish. Daniel and Alejandro killed it on this issue.

Cover by Daniel Sampere and Alejandro Sanchez

And it’s NEW YORK COMIC CON next week. I’ll post my schedule on Monday. I’m only at the con late Thursday, all of Friday and Saturday. I have a few signings and one panel. It’s 100% a con to pay attention to.

It’s going to be a fun, but very busy con. Mostly I’m excited to see comic readers, my friends and have all my secret meetings. Hope to see you there!

FLASH FILES 02

WELCOME TO FLASH FILES! My monthly annotated breakdown of every issue of my 100-Plus issue run of the Flash. Now before I begin, this is based on MY experiences on the Flash. I can’t speak for others. This is my own personal point of view on working on the Flash for almost 5 years. There will be some insights that I have now as I look back at the series along with behind the scenes notes you might not know. Working on the Flash was one of the BEST times of my life, but it was also a roller coaster with some ups and downs.  I’m going to look at each issue. One by one. It’s a LOT of comics. So we better get started! I’m sure these will be full of typos that I will correct and update. Oh, one last thing before we begin… please don’t reproduce this newsletter without our permission.

Last week we left off with the Flash #3, and this week we’re covering issues #4 to #6. #7 to #8 will be two weeks from now and then after that we’ll hopefully switch to a monthly schedule. I keep thinking I won’t have a lot to say about an issue and then proving myself wrong.

Before we begin the actual issue breakdowns behind the paywall, I left off last week talking a bit about GODSPEED. It was surprising how popular he became so quickly.

To celebrate that check out the action figure McFarlane made of Godspeed! I have one of these in my office and its super cool. A bit surreal, to be honest. This is availble in stores now!

If you missed our first FLASH FILE last week here it is.
