G.I. Joe is HERE!
Announcing Skybound's all-new ongoing G.I. Joe series from me and Tom Reilly! Plus,
It’s never been a more appropriate time to yell out YO JOE!
For fans of DUKE, COBRA COMMANDER, and the Energon Universe in general, join me and Tom Reilly this November for G.I. JOE, a colossal new series where the teams led by Conrad ‘Duke’ Hauser and the Cobra Commander will clash in a world forever changed by Energon. Drama! Action! Faces old and new! This is a book it’s all been leading up to…
Before the first issue lands in stores on 11/13, make sure to pick up the trade paperbacks for Duke and Cobra Commander (out in stores this week), along with the Energon Universe Special one-shot, to get a full picture of what to expect in this series:
There’s plenty more Energon Universe to come until then, like the amazing Scarlett and Destro miniseries by Kelly Thompson and Dan Watters. Both are currently releasing issues in stores, so support the great work being done in this universe by reading them both!
And as always, make sure you’re subscribed to this newsletter to hear all the latest Joe-wise!
This week saw FIVE releases I worked on drop into stores. First up, the end of House of Brainiac and the beginning of Absolute Power (I’ve also listed these out in the order I recommend you should read them in!)
ACTION COMICS #1066 finally arrives in stores after a brief delay! This one also features a backup all about the Luthors, drawn by the great Laura Braga and Prasad “pressy” Rao! Here’s the full solicit copy:

ABSOLUTE POWER: GROUND ZERO #1, an anthological prelude to the big summer DC event. I have a story in it drawn by longtime friend Gleb Melnikov, but make sure you don’t skip the great stories by Nicole Maines, Chip Zdarsky, and Mark Waid! Here’s the full solicitation:
