G.I. Joe is HERE with DUKE #1 hitting FOC TODAY!
Make sure to pre-order our debut ENERGON UNIVERSE issue at your comic shop ASAP! TODAY!
Freshly awoken from my Tryptophan-induced slumber, I’m back after some time with my family and the Thanksgiving break to dive back into the heaps of emails that’ve built up. Hope you all got to spend some well-earned time with your families or at least away from the daily grind for a bit. The holiday season is almost in full swing, which means that I’m staring down the barrel of a LOT of deadlines before we all take off until January. Wheeeeeee!
But seriously, this is my favorite time of the year, as you can clearly tell by the current state of our house:
I took a few weeks off to be with my family, which was great but also meant I fell behind a bit, so its going to be an intense last month of the year as I make sure everything I need to get done this year gets done. I work on a LOT and this has been a rollercoaster of a year. Expect an update on all of that at the end of the week! Projects and boxes updates!
Today’s top priority is DUKE #1’s Final Order Cut-Off tonight!
You’ve only got a few more hours to lock in your orders of my first of two bombastic titles in Skybound’s Energon Universe (the second of which being Cobra Commander, which I’ll get to tell you all more about soooooon). Here’s the full solicitation for Duke’s first issue:
And in case you haven’t seen the incredible work Tom and Jordie have been doing on this book, here’s a raw look at the cover:
It’s been so much fun being a part of the universe that Robert and Daniel have populated in Void Rivals and Transformers, so when I learned how vital Duke and G.I. Joe were going to be in the grand plans, you could only imagine how excited I was to join the brain trust. It’s a new take on a iconic character that let’s you start at the beginning of their story!
Here’s the first real look at Duke that you might have seen in the second issue of Daniel’s stellar Transformers title:
And in the back of that very same issue, you got just a taste of what to expect in the interior pages of Duke:
Pretty cool, right? In case you don’t know what covers are being offered for Duke #1, here’s the full gallery of what we’ve prepared:
So what are you waiting for? Codename G.I. Joe kicks off RIGHT HERE! Then you can pick up the issue when it drops in stores December 27th. Don’t miss out on the beginnings of this epic and new shared universe!
As an added bonus for the week, here is never before seen page from Superman #9 out next month! By the always amazing Bruno Redondo!
